Meditation is not meant to stop thoughts, rather it is an opportunity to gain a new relationship with our thoughts and feelings. The result of learning to witness our own minds without judgment is that over time, we realize that we are actually not that mind, nor the thoughts, beliefs, ideas or emotions that result from it.  Meditation is a portal into the power of now. When we move into a space apart from past or future, we move into an awareness, a dimension that is more compassionate, more beautiful, deeper than the ongoing stream of thoughts inside us.
